How credits are counted
A credit represents a unit of AI model consumption. For most models and typical message lengths, the simple rule applies:
1 credit = 1 message
More powerful models (e.g. Claude Sonnet 4.6 with extended thinking, GPT-5 with high reasoning capacity) consume more credits per message, because their cost per token is higher. The model used by the agent is chosen for each configuration under “Agent Configurations” → [origin] → “AI Model”.
What happens if you exceed your credits
Depends on the plan:
- Starter / Growth / Professional — the agent keeps responding, and extra messages are billed on usage at the plan rate:
- Starter: €0.03 / extra credit
- Growth: €0.025 / extra credit
- Professional: €0.02 / extra credit
- Enterprise — overage rate €0.015 / credit; for high volumes a dedicated package is agreed.
Overage is opt-out: if you’d rather the agent stop responding as soon as credits run out (to avoid unexpected costs), set a Monthly credit cap in “Profile” → “Plan & Billing” → “Edit limit”. You’ll also find it in “My Tenant” → “Monthly cap”.
Knowledge base limits
Default values — can be customized by the platform administrator:
| Documents | Total storage | Max per file | Monthly queries | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | 5 | 10 MB | 5 MB | unlimited |
| Growth | 20 | 20 MB | 10 MB | unlimited |
| Professional | 50 | 50 MB | 25 MB | unlimited |
| Enterprise | 200 | 2 GB | 100 MB | unlimited |
When you reach the document limit, you can’t upload new ones until you delete one. The agent keeps working with those already uploaded. See Knowledge base for management.
Operators
The plan doesn’t impose a fixed number of operators: managing team members with panel access is done in collaboration with support (write to info@iperchat.ai to invite a new operator to your tenant). Each operator has fine-grained configurable permissions (Conversations, Leads, Configurations, Knowledge base, Calendar, etc.).
Changing plan
At any time, from “Profile” → “Plan & Billing” in the ops panel:
- Manage subscription — opens the Stripe portal where you can change payment method, download invoices, or cancel.
- Upgrade/Downgrade — via Stripe, immediate effect for upgrades (prorated on the remaining cycle), at next renewal for downgrades.
- Cancellation — effective at next renewal (status “Cancelling” in the panel). Data stays accessible in read-only mode after deactivation, then is deleted per the GDPR policy.
Payment and invoices
Everything through Stripe. Invoices can be downloaded from the Stripe management portal (“Manage subscription” button under “Profile” → “Plan & Billing”). With valid billing details (VAT number and e-invoicing code entered during onboarding), an electronic invoice is issued where required by local regulations.
Trial period: what expires
During the 14-day trial:
- All features of the chosen plan are active.
- No charges.
- You can cancel at any time.
At the end of the trial:
- If you added a payment method, the first charge runs automatically.
- If you didn’t, the agent enters suspended mode (no widget replies) until you complete setup. The configuration and documents stay saved.
